MakaluMedia designed the 1001 application icon for Kula Software developer Adriaan Tijsseling. Kula’s 1001 is a photo stream viewing application for Mac OS X, designed to capture, view and manage photo streams from the popular photo-sharing service Flickr.
Adriaan Tijsseling, software developer for Kula, selected MakaluMedia for this icon design project, based on MakaluMedia’s prior design work and its highly collaborative design process. MakaluMedia involves clients on every project, from initial sketches through the final icon design.

From sketches to final icons, Adriaan and I worked closely to capture the concept underlying his 1001 application. I’m very pleased with the final icon design, as I feel it captures photo streaming, Flickr and the web-based nature of the tool in a very simple way.”
