MakaluMedia is seeking a Web Developer with extensive experience with the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) solution stack to work at its offices in Germany (Darmstadt).
You will work as a member of a small team maintaining and developing MakaluMedia’s ARTS (Anomaly Report Tracking System).
ARTS is a large-scale issue reporting and resolution management system developed for the European Space Agency (ESA). ESA use this system to manage problem reports, change requests and even minutes-of-meetings, across more than 50 projects (ranging from satellite missions to station equipment), and supporting more than 700 users. We have commercialized the product, and licensed it to other satellite operators.
Technical Knowledge
You should have proven experience in many of the following:
- Linux - both SUSE Linux Enterprise server 9 (SLES9) and Red Hat Linux
- Apache
- MySQL 4.0 upwards
- PHP 4 & 5
- Perl
- Unix Shell
- Javascript / AJAX with prototype/ script.aculo.us
- HTML
- XML
- Zend Technologies
- Model-view-controller (MVC) design concept
- Eclipse
- Oracle
- PDF Generation using 3rd party tools
Miscellaneous
You can work effectively in English, have good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach. You must be allowed to work in the European Union.
